Disney nabs future Indiana Jones film rights photo
Disney nabs future Indiana Jones film rights
by Nick Valdez

Disney continues its quest to own everything most people enjoy with Indiana Jones. Reaching a distribution deal with Paramount, Disney now owns future rights to every future Indiana Jones film (with Paramount still making a small sum off of each of them) while Paramount will own the rights to the previous four. Although there's no set confirmation of a fifth Indy movie, you'd be crazy to think Disney would make a deal like this and not capitalize on it.

Expect them to pull a Star Wars: Episode VII and announce Indiana Jones and the Incontinence Problem in the near future given that both Spielberg and Harrison Ford expressed interest in another one despite Ford being a sad and craggly senior citizen.

It's A Wonderful Life NOT getting a sequel photo
It's A Wonderful Life NOT getting a sequel
by Liz Rugg

It's A Wonderful Life is commonly known as a quintessential classic Christmas movie. The black and white 1940s movie has been loved for decades and for many people watching it is an annual Christmas tradition. So when news broke last week that some independent producers wanted to go ahead and make It's A Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story, the internet kinda lost it.

Nobody however, was more upset than Paramount Pictures, who apparently own the rights to It's A Wonderful Life and were basically like "b!@#*$, please." Read more below for their official statement.

New Terminator film is a reboot, new trilogy starts 2015 photo
New Terminator film is a reboot, new trilogy starts 2015
by Hubert Vigilla

So much for Terminator 5. It turns out that the new Terminator movie is a franchise reboot that kicks off a new standalone trilogy. The reboot, simply called Terminator, will be out on June 26, 2015. The screenplay will be written by Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry). Arnold Schwarzenegger will be in the film as a Terminator.

There are no plot details as of yet, nor are there release dates for the other two films in this standalone Terminator trilogy. Since James Cameron gets the Terminator rights back in 2019, one can assume the next two films will come pretty soon after the 2015 reboot. I'm just going to assume that this reboot is some kind of alternate timeline thing, and old Spock will help the Terminator understand what's going on.

How do you feel about Terminator as a reboot and this standalone trilogy idea?
