Angry Video Game Nerd Q&A Panel

5:00 PM on 01.16.2012

I'm probably the biggest Angry Video Game Nerd fan on Flixist, so believe me when I say that it's been a long wait for the Angry Video Game Nerd movie. After more than a hundred Nerd videos and prophesying an impending AVGN movie, there's finally some solid info as to when this beast is gonna get made. The Q&A up top tells us a few important details about the upcoming AVGN movie. I urge you to watch the whole thing as it's very insightful on James Rolfe's many travails and experiences in making the movie.

James is aiming for an April shoot and still needs to get in contact with effects people, so we probably won't see the movie until at least the end of the year. He's planning on making the movie accessible to those who aren't familiar with the AVGN, because, as he says, laughing at people getting angry at games is a pretty universal thing. That's always been the appeal of his videos and something I never get tired of. All of the other stuff he adds to it, like the history of video games and methodical approach to reviewing games is just topping on an already delicious SH*T sundae.

Tribeca Interview: Bending Steel, Part 1

The documentary Bending Steel was my favorite movie at the Tribeca Film Festival. It follows Chris "Wonder" Schoeck in his quest to become an old-time strongman, but the act of bending steel winds up meaning so much more -- i...

Interview: Richard Raaphorst (Frankenstein's Army)

Even though I had issues with the found-footage aspect of Frankenstein's Army, there's a great anarchic imagination in the film, and it belongs to director Richard Raaphorst. I had a chance to sit down and talk with Raaphorst...
