Falcon gets his wings in Captain America: Winter Soldier

Falcon gets his wings in Captain America: Winter Soldier photo

When news of Anthony Mackie getting cast as Falcon in Captain America: Winter Soldier broke, I was elated because Marvel was going to get outrageous. They were ready to show off a man who flew around with giant metal wings and spoke telepathically with birds. In an interview with Ain't It Cool News, Mackie revealed that Marvel is at least allowing the wings:

I will have wings. I will be able to fly. I will be a superhero and fight people, namely The Winter Soldier... It was funny; a lot of the research I found was online. My older brother was a huge comic book buff. So when the news came out online, he called me and just gave me the whole rundown. Luckily, I have a lot of friends who weren't cool growing up, but who are really cool now, so they read a lot of comic books. So I would just call and ask them, and they would send me all of this stuff online, and I got to read a bunch of the old comic books. It's fortunate, because it's a take off the comic book, it's not the exactly storyline of the comic book.

While his words are a bit vague, it does confirm that he probably won't talk to birds (since it's not "exact"). But now that Falcon is going to fly, Crossbones is a henchman, SHIELD is showing up, and a hot woman is in this...this will be the most MERICA comic book film of ALL TIME.
