Poor, poor Famke.

Bryan singer's X-Men: First Class sequel, Days of Future Past, sounds fantastic. So far, he's managed to bring back Sir Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, and even Hugh Jackman to reprise their roles for the new film (even if Jackman never really left the role). There were even rumors that James Marsden, Ellen Page, Kelsey Grammer, Famke Jansssen, and even Greg the Teamster, the scruff guy with a heart of gold, were being courted also. Well...no one told Famke Janssen any of that.

While speaking with Collider and promoting her role in Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, a job she only took just so she could wear a leather dress again...probably, Janssen had this gem of a quote concerning DOFP

If you run into Bryan Singer, just tell him I’ve been sitting by the phone, I’ve been hearing rumors of all these people getting cast; what about me?  I’m waiting!

Poor, Famke. This is somehow both sad and hilarious at the same time. Hilarious because no one wants Janssen, and sad that those rumors about more of the old cast coming back could be untrue. With filming scheduled to start soon, I really hope we hear more about this in the coming months. Also, someone please get Famke a job. Please.

Music plays an integral role in film. Easily ignored, easily forgotten, a film's soundtrack is the little celebrated framework of cinema. But when sound and sight marry into a great scene, you get some of the best moments. Li...
We've seen more sequels released the last few years than we have in a long time. While 2015 seems to continue that trend, last year showed that we shouldn't automatically write off a film just because it's a sequel. I've seen...

X-Men: Days of Future Past is the seventh X-Men film. Let that sink in for a moment. From the time the X-Men series began we've had world politics change forever, several global warming scares, and three different incarnation...

With one more week in May left to go, I'm guessing X-Men: Days of Future Past is going to take it home. Raking in $90 million (just a little under Godzilla's performance from last week) over the Memorial Day Weekend, Day...
The X-Men movies have a troubled past. Three out of the six previous films have been critically ripped apart. Yet in spite of their dubious quality, each of the X-Films have done extremely well commercially. Basically, no mat...
I'm not even sure what to say here. Of course you want to see X-Men: Days of Future Past and of course you want to see it early. It just makes sense. The only thing the last X-Men movie was missing was more wolverine and...
Normally we here at Flixist like to keep away from spoiling things like a post-credits scene (and not the one you have to Shazam for some reason), but this is such a bizarre situation, it should be okay to move forward. In o...
