Flix for Short: Tempo
Tempo, brought to you by Red Giant to play around with their visual effect software, is about a device that can decelerate or accelerate objects in motion. One scientist then has to use the device against a troop of dudes with guns in order to reach a manipulator that will allow the Tempo gun to work on people (without reducing them to goo) and save his partner. Admittedly, some of the ideas in the film are cheesy (like an accelerated swarm of bees that covers the screen or the constant lens flare) but the idea of a Tempo gun itself is remarkable. Given the the potential for great visuals (especially around the 9:00 minute mark) and story, I hope I see more of the Tempo gun (or something like it) in the future. [via Red Giant] Did you know?
