Lindsey Mann & Samantha Jewell's The Little Mermaid is an interesting twist on Mermaid's original fairy tale. It was created as a part of the Vancouver Film School's Compendium series, and I'm so glad it exists. The mermaid herself is a circus attraction in some wonderfully designed creepy tent.
I'm also loving that makeup. Now that she's a monster, she looks more fish than woman. My only problem with the film is that it eventually copies Pirates of the Caribbean 4. It eventually makes up for it by being far more grotesque, and it is simply wonderful to watch.
