Flix For Short: Wide-Awake; featuring Quvenzhane Wallis
As if the young Beasts of the Southern Wild star could possibly be any more adorable, Quvenzhane Wallis stars in the above experimental short produced for the New York Times Magazine's Hollywood issue. This year's issue is focusing entirely on actresses, including this series of short films called Wide-Awake, each featuring an actress who gave a standout preformance this year. Other actresses featured next to Wallis include Jennifer Lawrence, Elle Fanning and Anne Hatheway. I personally have yet to read the issue but I am all about this sweet, adventurous and wholeheartedly silly short featuring American Girl dolls, a bow and arrows, a super hero costume (complete with a cape) and of course the young star herself.
