Here's a new Star Trek behind the scenes featurette

It's not very 'behind the scenes'

In the spirit of full disclosure I feel like I need to tell you guys that this featurette is kind of lame. It doesn't really show anything new, it's just J.J. Abrams and a few of the actors (Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Zoe Saldana) talking about the film in really broad terms. I think there are a couple of scenes that haven't been shown before, but I can't really tell.

Now, what may be of more interest to the Trekkies out there is that there are some conspiracy theorists out there who think they may have figured out who the villain (Benedict Cumberbatch) really is. I'm not going to go into detail, since the fine folks over at Indie Wire have a very nice summation of the whole shebang. Plus, I don't really care who he is. All I need is some awesome space action with minimal lens' flare and I'm all set.

On a side note, I still can't believe that this man has been handed the reigns of the two biggest sci-fi franchises the world has ever known. Gadzooks. Gadzooks I say!
