No matter how disappointing Chronicles of Riddick was, I'll always be excited to see more of Flixist Favorite Vin Diesel in the role that made him famous. Battlestar Galactica star Katee Sackhoff has joined the cast as Dahl, "a Nordic mercenary tracking Riddick." Katee Sackhoff playing a statuesque blonde badass? Whoda thunk it? We're the closest right now than we've been in a while to seeing a new Riddick movie, as producers have finally raised enough money to continue production sometime early this year, and all early reports suggest that the film is tonally closer to Pitch Black than Chronicles. Here's hoping that, like Pitch Black, it's also a vaguely-recognizable adaptation of an Issac Asimov short story. [Via Deadline] Did you know?
