Kevin Smith to do Clerks III when Jeff Anderson signs onWith Kevin Smith's magnum opus Hit Somebody transitioning from a single movie, to two parts, to finally a television mini-series, he needs a final masterpiece before he retires. Kevin Smith has declared via Twitter (since he's pretty keen on making announcements via social networks) that he would gladly make Clerks III as long as Jeff Anderson (Randal) signs on:
Even if I believe Kevin Smith has been on a down slope recently, it'd be nice to see him go out they way he came. Every filmmaker, regardless of quality or demeanor, deserves to end their career on something special to them. I know Jeff Anderson really struggled with signing on for Clerks II, but I hope he ends up agreeing to it. If Kevin Smith gets to make Clerks III, and captures any of Clerks' indie, anti-establishment magic, then I'll be watching it opening night. What about all of you? [via Twitter] Did you know?
