Legendary already has a Pacific Rim sequel writerIn a move that surprises only the most naive of moviegoers, Legendary has announced that work has begun on the sequel to Guillermo Del Toro's (probably) blockbuster hit, Pacific Rim. According to the Hollywood Reporter, they've hired Travis Beacham, the man who wrote the initial treatment for Rim. Del Toro is going to be on hand to co-write the script, but there's no telling right now if he's attached to direct since he has no idea how the first one is going to turn out. Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. Let us enjoy a film's uniqueness first (even if it does look like a mix of Transformers and Godzilla, which sounds AWESOME) before shoving more of it down our throats. For Legendary's sake, since they've counted all of their chickens, I hope Pacific Rim turns out to as jaw dropping as it promises to be. If not then poor Thor. That kid is going to be soooo sad.
