Netflix Now: Colin Kaepernick's Magic Arm Edition

Netflix Now: Colin Kaepernick's Magic Arm Edition photo

Super Bowl XLVII is a few days away, meaning that fairweather football fans like myself have something to watch this weekend (even if it's just for the commercials and high-priced movie ads). As a guy raised in the Bay Area, I'm rooting for the 49ers even though I haven't watched football regularly since Steve Young was QB. But from what I've seen in terms of highlights, Colin Kaepernick must have secret devil magicks in the ink for his tattoos.

If you don't want to watch the Super Bowl this weekend, you do have a couple of things on Watch Instantly that may catch your attention and substitute for football. For the burliness of the game, there's the updated version of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. For the brutality of the game, some Shark Week stuff is ready to stream at your convenience. And for the pageantry of the game, there's Toddlers & Tiaras.

To be honest, very few big-time releases on Watch Instantly this week. Maybe the most notable thing is Graham Chapman: Anatomy of a Liar, which is basically a making-of for A Liar's Autobiography. Actually, that's not all that notable, maybe... You should just enjoy the game this weekend.

After the cut is the new stuff on Netflix Instant, a little bit of football, and a little something for you hockey folks, especially if you dig the Calgary Flames.

New additions to Netflix Watch Instantly apply only to readers in the United States. For those in other parts of the world, your choices may vary.

Netflix Now: More like X-BONED Edition

Even if you don't follow videogame news, it's hard to avoid the big hooplah over E3 each year. Although this year, that hooplah was well deserved as Sony straight up trounced all its competition by both providing a nice sound...

There is literally a handful of things that are new on Netflix Instant (and I need to get to two screenings today), so this is going to be a light installment of Netflix Now. The new season of Arrested Development is out, of ...

With all the schizoid weather in New York right now, I really wish I was out there in the Riviera covering the Cannes Film Festival. I would wander around half-drunk and half-heat-stroked every day in a summer jacket and hat,...

By now you've probably heard of Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale, AZ. The restaurant owners had an epic social media meltdown because of a bats**t crazy appearance on Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay. If you haven't he...

Netflix Now: A Bajillion Damn Titles Edition

Man... there are like a bajillion titles that have been added to Netflix's Watch Instantly, probably to make up for the severe title loss last week. It sort of reminds me of a report I saw yesterday via Facebook: the Eas...

Netflix Now: You Blew It Up! Edition

There's very little to be had on Netflix Instant this week, you know why? Netflix is currently in the process of destroying itself from the inside out. First off, a large amount of titles have been dropped (1,795 titles to be...
