Never before seen Dark Knight concept art is horrifyingRob Bliss, a concept artist for most of the Harry Potter films and the upcoming Jack the Giant Killer Slayer, also did some work for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. Bliss mocked up versions of the Joker, Two-Face, and Joker's cronies and boy do they look terrifying. I know the clown masks ended up making it to the final film but I guess their terrifying visage got lost in translation. I think it's the insane amount of detail put into the faces that gives me the heebie jeebies. Also check out Bliss's Joker mock-up (pictured above). I kind of like it. Sort of classic, sort of violent and modern, all the while has a nice detachment from the comic version. While the Joker we ended up with in the final product may have been ultimately superior, I can't discredit Bliss's version for looking so damn cool. [via Film Sketcher] Did you know?
