UPDATE: Peter Dinklage joins X-Men: Days of Future Past

10:00 AM on 02.15.2013

The Game of Thrones star will play the villain of the film

[UPDATE: Variety is reporting that Peter Dinklage will be the villain in the film. So rather than Puck from Alpha Flight, there's now speculation that Dinklage will play Bolivar Trask (creator of the Sentinels). Badass Digest has an off-the-wall theory that Dinklage will play Mr. Sinister.]

Hot damn, this is some keen news. Peter Dinklage in on board for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Director Bryan Singer made the announcement on Twitter last night:

Officially like to welcome #PeterDinklage from #GameOfThrones to #XMEN #DaysofFuturePast Very very excited!

Dinklage will join X-Men: Fist Class cast members James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, and Nicholas Hoult, as well as a number of returning X-Men actors from the past (Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, and Hugh Jackman).

It's currently unknown what role Dinklage will play, but there's speculation that he'll be Puck from Alpha Flight. Who do you think Peter Dinklage will be in X-Men: Days of Future Past?

With one more week in May left to go, I'm guessing X-Men: Days of Future Past is going to take it home. Raking in $90 million (just a little under Godzilla's performance from last week) over the Memorial Day Weekend, Day...
The X-Men movies have a troubled past. Three out of the six previous films have been critically ripped apart. Yet in spite of their dubious quality, each of the X-Films have done extremely well commercially. Basically, no mat...
I'm not even sure what to say here. Of course you want to see X-Men: Days of Future Past and of course you want to see it early. It just makes sense. The only thing the last X-Men movie was missing was more wolverine and...
Normally we here at Flixist like to keep away from spoiling things like a post-credits scene (and not the one you have to Shazam for some reason), but this is such a bizarre situation, it should be okay to move forward. In o...
