Rumor: Mark Hamill & Carrie Fisher back for Ep. VII?

Rumor: Mark Hamill & Carrie Fisher back for Ep. VII? photo

It's a day ending in "y", which means we have more Star Wars rumors and speculation for you. First off, there's a rumor that Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are being sought to reprise their roles and Luke and Leia. This seems consistent with our previous report that Harrison Ford is in talks to return as Han Solo. Hamill and Fisher were both told about the new films by George Lucas well before any official announcement was made, so that's more fuel for speculation.

So that's Star Wars rumor #1 for today. Rumor #2: the new Star Wars trilogy will focus on the children of Solo and Skywalker. This would make sense if true both in terms of casting and storytelling. In addition to having the same actors reprising their roles, there'd be a continued sense of legacy/family in the various Star Wars films -- it's a big saga about four generations of Skywalkers.

Until we hear otherwise, these are both just rumors. But how do you feel about both the casting and plot as possibilities for these new Star Wars films?
