Star Trek Into Darkness trailer attached to The HobbitLast week we mentioned that a nine-minute prologue for Star Trek Into Darkness will screen with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in IMAX 3D. Turns out The Hobbit will get you a Trek fix no matter what format you see it in. First Showing reports that the first theatrical trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness is attached to non-IMAX screenings of The Hobbit. This won't just be a condensed version of the prologue or a brief teaser but a full trailer. My prediction: since Benedict Cumberbatch is in both Star Trek and the Hobbit movies, the trailer will reveal that the two film franchises are connected. In other words, USS Enterprise vs. Necromancer Sauron riding Smaug. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (Into Star Trek) comes out December 14th. Star Trek Into Darkness (and The Hobbit) will be out in theaters on May 17th. [Via First Showing] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
