Teaser Trailer: I'm So Excited (Los amantes pasajeros)

11:00 AM on 12.14.2012

Pedro Almodovar's The Skin I Live In was a lurid, disturbing, bendy, and audacious film, and one of the most underrated movies of 2011. For his follow-up, Almodovar has decided to go light after so much darkness. The evidence is the above teaser trailer for I'm So Excited (Los amantes pasajeros).

Though plot details are under wraps, The Playlist says I'm So Excited is an ensemble comedy involving an airplane accident that prompts passengers to disclose their inner secrets. Maybe Goke, Body Snatcher from Hell by way of Douglas Sirk?

No word on release dates yet, but it's been suggested that I'm So Excited will premiere at Cannes. Stay tuned for more information on I'm So Excited as well as Almodovar's Body Snatchers-inspired science fiction film, which may wind up percolating for a few years before it gets made.

Teaser Trailer: Last Vegas

I'll admit that I'm a sucker for "old men doing young things" movies desspite how bad most of them are. I sat through The Bucket List, Space Cowboys (but it was kind of good), Stand Up Guys, and I'm most likely going to see ...

Review: Frances Ha

Woody Allen's Manhattan opens with that stunning overture of "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin. It's like a love letter to the city, the great colossus, a romanticized land of bustle and possibility. The film is a portrai...

This Is Spinal Tap soundtrack getting reissued on vinyl

This Is Spinal is one of the best movies of the 1980s and one my my favorite movies of all time. It's still the grandaddy of the mockumentary genre, and I don't think it'll be topped in terms of execution or sheer quality. Th...
