Get ready for some filmstuffs

It's that time of year again. This week, the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival kicks off in New York City. Running from April 19th through the 30th, the Tribeca Film Festival will feature countless narrative and documentary premieres, including the powerful, can't-miss LA riots documentary LA 92 from directors Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin. There are also special gala screenings with the cast and crew present, including Reservoir Dogs with Quentin Tarantino and several stars, and the first two The Godfather movies with Francis Ford Coppola and many of the cast members.

Special conversations and discussions will go on during the festival as well featuring Scarlet Johansson, Bruce Springsteen, Kobe Bryant, Lena Dunham, and Barbara Streisand. There's the continuing showcase for VR and immersive storytelling, allowing attendees to experience new and advanced ways of sharing narratives. This year also marks the debut of the Tribeca Games Festival, which will feature a keynote conversation with Hideo Kojima.

Alec Kubas-Meyer and I will be at the festival catching some films and covering other events. Our first full reviews will be going up Thursday night. Keep coming back for the next three weeks for features and other coverage.
