Three unused posters for The Dark Knight Rises

Three unused posters for The Dark Knight Rises photo

With The Dark Knight Rises hitting DVD and Blu-ray on December 4th, the last thing you'd expect would be some new poster art. (Well, that and the Spanish Inquisition.) The marketing/advertising firm Trailer Park showed off three unused posters for the film recently.

The most promising unused posters is the minimalist, chalk-rendered Bane mask over the word "Fear." It would have worked well with a chalk Batman symbol poster. It also makes me think they could have used both this Bane symbol and the bat symbol in the second half of the film as a way to mark territory.

In semi-related news, it looks like tickets are sold out for An Evening with Christopher Nolan here in NYC on Wednesday, November 28th. There might be some additional tix made available to the public, but no word on that yet. If anything, limited standby tickets will be available at the Walter Reade Theater on the day of the event, with a limit of two tickets per person.

You can give all of these posters a look in the gallery.

Rumor: Batman might not wait for Justice League

Before I start, I am calling this a rumor because there isn't a whole lot of substantial evidence backing this up. Take this with a grain of salt. I'm not calling Batman-on-Film liars by any means; however, let's hope that Wa...

Bane really loves nutrition in this awesome "outtake" vid

Normally I'm not a huge fan of fan dubs (because most of the time they're juvenile and asinine), but this set of Bane "outtakes," from YouTube user Auralnauts, is just excellent. I'd like to think the dub is so great because...

Rumour: Joseph-Gordon Levitt as Justice League's Batman?

I'm going to assume everyone who wanted to see The Dark Knight Rises has seen it by now, so won't be skirting around spoilers - as though the headline hadn't given everything away already. At the end of the movie, Christian B...

Get a glimpse of Tom Hardy's transformation into Bane

Tom Hardy's Bane proved to be a capable foil to Christian Bale's Batman, strange accent aside, and I don't think anyone who isn't familiar with what Hardy looks like would recognize him as the the bulky bad-guy, even if you h...

Flixist Awards 2012: The Pterodactyl

Of our year-end awards, I think that the Pterodactyl is probably my favorite. Looking back on a year's most badass characters is a good way to remind yourself of just good (or bad) a year was. Last year, Ryan Gosling's Driver...more
