I remember there was a time that I looked forward to movie parodies. When the first Scary Movie released, I laughed so hard I almost had an accident (I was also ten). When the sequel came out, that excitement tempered a bit. When the third was announced, I gave up on listening. The fourth...eh. And don't even get me started on Scary Movie 5. Somewhere along the line, those parodies sort of lost their luster. Marlon Wayans and Michael Tiddes (Dance Flick) want to fix that.
A Haunted House is a spoof of found footage possession films like The Devil Inside and Actividad Paranormal. And while it's not that funny (fart jokes are soooo 1992), there's still some humor to be found. I'm willing to give this a chance, but if it turns out like all of those other parodies, at least I only wasted 90 minutes of my life.
