Trailer: Alvin and the Chipmunks - Chipwrecked!

6:00 PM on 06.16.2011

[Update: an embeddable version has been made available, so here it is!]

Hey guys, remember when Titanic came out? That sure was a big movie! You know who wouldn't quite understand all the hype surrounding it during its initial release? Why, the target audience of Alvin and the Chipmunks, of course! Clearly, the best way to solve this dilemma is to base a trailer for the newest movie on the older, more successful movie. Maybe some of the box office success will rub off, right? Right? I mean, just check out this teaser on Apple. I feel my wallet emptying as we speak!

I can't stand these Chipmunks. I'm sure my mother hated the sound of their grating voices when I watched the original cartoon on TV, but at least they were cute then. Have you looked at these things? I mean, you have to have seen the pictures, but have you watched any videos? I recommend this one if you want to really feel disgusting. If you're avoiding that link, it involves David Cross ogling naked Chipettes. Yep. They're naked and gyrating. Enjoy those nightmares.

You ALMOST got me to click on that link, and then I stopped and realized that wasn't a thing I needed to do.

I'll just stick with the Chipmunk Adventure, thank you very much.
I call dibs on reviewing this.
I've had the unfortunate displeasure of having to view both of these films at work. I want to do horrible things to whoever was responsible for "modernizing" the Chipmunks.

Rio 2's release is a year from now, but that didn't stop Blue Sky Studios from teasing it already. There's nothing to go on from here except that Blu and Jewel's three babies have grown up, and the charming Samba and dancing...

Flix for Short: Le Taxidermiste

Le Taxidermiste is an incredibly cute video about death and the preservation of life. The storyline may be relatively subdued, but the incredible visual detail and style is enough to keep my attention the whole time. Also, dat keyboard solo. The adorable Le Taxidermiste was created by Paulin Cointot, Dorianne Fibleuil, Antoine Robert, and Maud Sertour. [via Vimeo]
