Trailer: Hotel Transylvania
I absolutely love CG ensemble comedies. They always attract a large range of funny actors, allowing them to just let loose and have essentially cartoon versions of themselves exaggerate and accentuate all the wacky things they say. Of course, not every one of these kinds of movies are good. Hotel Transylvania will hopefully fall on the good side of the divide. The film finds Dracula (Adam Sandler) throwing a surprise birthday party for his daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez), at the titular hotel that he owns. An assortment of monsters are invited/residents of the hotel, including Frankenstein (Kevin James) and his bride (Fran Drescher), Quasimodo (David Koechner), a mummy (Cee Lo Green), a werewolf couple (Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon), and an invisible man (David Spade). However, the party is crashed by an unsuspecting human male (Andy Samberg). Thusly... hilarity ensues! What makes Hotel Transylvania most appealing is the fact that Genndy Tartakovsky is directing the movie. For those unfamiliar, Tartakovsky is the mind behind some of the best Cartoon Network cartoons, including Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, Star Wars: Clone Wars, and Samurai Jack. You can check in to the Hotel Transylvania on September 28th. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
