Trailer: Norwegian Wood

1:00 PM on 01.04.2012

Norwegian Wood is a forthcoming adaptation of Haruki Murakami's novel of the same name. The story centers around a young man, Toru Watanabe, and his attempts to navigate through love and political instability in Japan in the 1960s.

The adaption is being directed by Tran Anh Hung and Mark Lee Ping Bin is heading the cinematography, which judging by the trailer, looks pretty awesome. Norwegian Wood will have a limited U.S. release (New York, Chicago, LA, and Portland) in mid-to-late January of this year. Click here for details on showings.
