And it's fallen hard
It looks like Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) is doing he's best Die Hard impression with his upcoming political action flick Olympus Has Fallen. Coincidently, my girlfriend has been watching a ton of West Wing lately, so I could only be amused at how crazy and over the top the action is depicted in regards to the White House and its prime occupant. That isn't to say the movie doesn't look like fun though. Gerard Butler can pretty much play any role, and he's proven himself to be an acceptable action star, so I'm sure it will be entertaining if nothing else. Catch the synopsis down below:
When the White House (Secret Service Code: "Olympus") is captured by a terrorist mastermind and the President is kidnapped, disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped within the building. As our national security team scrambles to respond, they are forced to rely on Banning¹s inside knowledge to help retake the White House, save the President and avert an even bigger disaster. Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) directs an all-star cast featuring Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett, Melissa Leo, Ashley Judd, and Rick Yune.
