'Some men are trying to kill us. We're going to kill them first.'
Our first glimpse at Skyfall is under a minute and a half long, but kindly lets us know the movie will look every bit as gorgeous as any of cinematographer Roger Deakins' previous work; Javier Bardem's villain is ominous on a Biblical scale, judging by that silhouetted shot of him walking away from a burning estate; Naomie Harris is handy with a razor; and someone has got on Bond's bad side, which is a dangerous place to be. It sticks pretty closely to the standard teaser trailer recipe (snippet of dialogue, loud noises) but goddamn if the ingredients don't look delicious.
November 9th in the US. October 26th in the UK. Dark Knight Rises doesn't have 2012 sewn up just yet.
