Trailer: The Call

3:00 PM on 01.11.2013

The is the first (and possibly last) trailer for Brad Anderson's The Call. Halle Berry stars as a call center operator who answers "the call" of a young girl (Abigail Breslin) being currently kidnapped and locked in a trunk. Oh  yeah, and the kidnapper/murderer guy is also someone who attacked Hallie's character in the past so there's that.

While this premise is totes out there (and sounds like it's been done before), it kind of seems interesting. I just wished I wasn't shown every single thing that happens in the movie. We're somehow treated to about 70-83% of the film in three minutes. I would have loved some mystery.

300: Rise of an Empire sure gets pushed back alright

For the two of you who were eagerly awaiting the arrival of 300: Rise of an Empire because of its staggering sameness to its predecessor from six years ago or its overwhelmingly lackluster Eiffel 65 inspired poster, prepare t...

300: Rise of an Empire sure gets a poster alright

In a probable attempt to shove this under the rug, Zack Snyder tweeted the first official poster for 300: Rise of an Empire (299) just a few hours after the Man of Steel trailer debuted a few days ago. There's not much to say...

Avatar sequels will have underwater performance capture

You know how the first Avatar was just Dances With Wolves but with blue folks? Avatar 2 (and eventually 3 because money) will be more like another Costner film, Waterworld. In one of those decisions brought on by "hey we...

Trailer: The Numbers Station

When did John Cusack fall off the map as hard as he has? He used to be someone I looked forward to seeing in a movie, but now...I can't help to see him struggle like this. This time he finds himself in The Numbers Station, a...

Trailer: Spiders 3D

Remember Eight Legged Freaks? The sort of entertaining, sort of horrible movie about giant spiders attacking David Arquette? Spiders 3D looks the total opposite of that. Wait...what I mean to say is take Freaks, subtract the...

Review: The Call

Let's just get the hair out of the way. I'm not sure if Halle Berry though she was starring in a blacksploitation movie from the 70s or maybe she shaved her head and could only find a bad wig, but clearly something went wrong...more
