Trailer: The Lone Ranger
A new trailer has just come out for The Lone Ranger, Gore Verbinski's big-budget action-western starring Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Tom Wilkinson, and Helena Bonham Carter. While I don't think it's as good as the first trailer for Lone Ranger, it looks fun, I guess. This new trailer gives a better sense of the title character's origin and how he comes to don a mask. The trailer also gives you more Depp and his stilted, halting Tonto talk, and some mayhem involving a train wreck. (Maybe not the best imagery to use for a film way over budget and behind schedule.) We'll see if the Pirates of the Caribbean team pulls this one off eventually. The Lone Ranger chugs into theaters on July 3rd, 2013. [Via The Playlist] Did you know?
