Unseen art from Raimi's Spider-Man 2 features The Lizard

You know how Dr. Curt Connors showed up in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy but never got to turn into The Lizard (even if we got that wish granted several years later)? Apparently, there were plans for Connors to turn into The Lizard during Spider-Man 2 and fight alongside Dr. Octopus and Harry Osborn (as Green Goblin), but that was scrapped in favor of just Doc Ock.

Constantine Sekeris, concept artist who worked on such films as Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot, and Cabin in the Woods, drew up a few designs for what Raimi's Lizard could have looked like. I have to say, I do prefer the more animalistic and feral look compared to the "Voldemort in need of Lubiderm CQ" look of Amazing Spider-Man's Lizard. Oh well, at least this looks better than those other amphibian drawings. Peep the gallery, and Sekeris's site, for more Lizard and other goodies.
