'Inherent Vice' gets December 2014 release date


Thomas Pynchon's detective novel Inherent Vice is getting a silver screen adaptation by none other than Academy Award-nominated and crazy talented writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights/There Will Be Blood). Inherent Vice is due to hit theaters December 12th and will star such noteworthy names as Joaquin Phoenix, Owen Wilson, Joanna Newsom, Josh Brolin, and Jena Malone.

Inherent Vice tells the tale of Private Investigator Doc Sportello (Joaquin Phoenix) and his immersion into the mysterious world of 70's Southern California as he investigates the disappearance of an ex-girlfriend.
