Another hit Disney film, Lilo and Stitch, is getting a live-action remake

If you don’t remember Lilo and Stitch, can you truly call yourself a Disney fan? Well, for those who loved this film when it first came out back in 2002 you will be pleased to hear it’s getting a live-action remake. The new take on the pair will not be released in theaters but is headed directly to Disney+. The Disney Insider has unconfirmed reports that filming is set to begin this Fall in Hawaii and that the original voice of Stitch, Chris Sanders, will reprise his role. That is pretty sweet.

What I remember most about this film were the trailers promoting the hell out of it, such as Stitch crashing classic Disney film moments in Lion KingBeauty, and the Beast and Aladdin. Their marketing team was spot on with that and I think it would be hilarious if they do that again but this time Stitch crashes the live-action remakes. The producers behind the live-action take on Aladdin, Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, are also going to be producing this film.
