Ben Affleck directing, starring in solo Batman film

No (April) fooling.

It was easy to poke fun at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for our April Fool's Day shenanigans this year, given its divisive nature across the internet. While the jokes increased in wackiness as the day went on, it started from a realistic root: the confirmation of a solo Batman film starring Ben Affleck. It was a no-brainer that simply wasn't confirmed... until now.

Last night at CinemaCon, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirmed that Affleck will direct and star in an upcoming Batman film. There's no word if the film's script will be the one Affleck was rumored to have written, but you shouldn't be surprised if some of his ideas find life on the big screen.

Now that Flixist is able to make dreams and wishes come true, let's see what we can do about actually getting Jeff Goldblum in on this.
