Bret Easton Ellis doing noir for Paul Schrader & pornstar

0

Not too long ago, the magick of Twitter revealed that Kanye West was in talks to become creative director of the Jetsons movie. For a while everyone thought it was just Kanye being Kanye, but oddly enough, it was true. The most recent news to drop out of a tweet is more probable though still a tad strange: it involves American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis, Taxi Driver and Raging Bull scribe Paul Schrader, and male pornstar James Deen.

Yesterday, Ellis tweeted, "James Deen is my first choice to play Christian or Ryan in LA noir micro budget Paul Schrader movie I'm writing. Nudity and acting a must..." In prior tweets, Ellis noted that he had rewatched Taxi Driver and that Christian/Ryan would have to "act and be full-frontal naked banging girls and guys realistically." No other details have surfaced, though it'd be great to have Schrader behind the camera again even though his last few films haven't made much of a splash. (Don't know how I'd feel about Schrader in front of the camera banging girls and guys realistically.)

Two of Ellis's subsequent tweets were "But Alexander Skarsgard's suave blue-eyed redneck cruelty gives Straw Dogs a smoldering jolt of sexual electricity. Yes, I just wrote that," and "Getting huge vibes from women about my last Tweet that Alexander Skarsgard is too hot for 'me to say 'don't rape me'.' Same with James Deen."

Call me crazy, but I think Kanye may have hijacked Ellis's Twitter account.
