My cousin and his fiance tied the knot on October 31st last year in full, bloodied costume, and a few more are going down this Halloween weekend too. In related news, I recently dressed up as Wilma for a Halloween-themed bachelor-bachlorette party (picture after the jump).
I don’t know much about weddings except that they are stressful and costly. But imagine how fun and unstressful it would be if everyone dressed up in costume, if the bride and groom bought thrift store outfits and doused them with red-dyed corn syrup. Imagine how inexpensive it would be to dress your wedding party (the more hideous and sea-foam-green the bridesmaid dress, the better). Now, imagine how much cooler your Halloween wedding would be if Bruce Campbell were the officiator.
Total Film reports that the officiator at Nathan Dooley and Casey Russel’s zombie-themed, Halloween-set wedding will be none other than everyone’s favourite cult actor. The event takes place as part of ZomBCon’s The Evil Dead Smack Down gala, where a new 35mm version of Sam Raimi’s horror classic is being shown. Lucky bastards.
