Bryan Fuller has left another damn television show

Stop us if you've heard this before

Bryan Fuller of Pushing Daisies and Hannibal fame was set to produce a reboot of anthology series Amazing Stories for Apple. But before you could even go, "wait, Apple is making television shows now?" Fuller has already exited the project.

Citing creative differences, Fuller is reported to have wanted the anthology to resemble Black Mirror, an idea that Apple was apparently not keen towards. The original series, created by some guy named Steven Spielberg, had a mix of science fiction, fantasy and supernatural stories.

This departure is part of a long string of bad luck for Fuller—over a decade ago, Fuller left the sinking ship previously known as Heroes, and his critically acclaimed shows Pushing Daisies and Hannibal were both canceled. More recently, Fuller left Star Trek: Discovery and American Gods, both cases due to creative differences with the studios.

Meanwhile, little information is available about when or how Apple will release its planned television content. Perhaps they'll pull a U2 and sneak episodes onto our iTunes.

We'll be sure to update you on Fuller's next career steps, as he is sure to leave television shows that don't even exist yet in the near future.
