Character posters for Bong Joon-Ho’s Snowpiercer are dark

Usually “gritty” imagery doesn’t get me particularly excited by things, but I can’t pretend that seeing these character posters for Bong Joon-Ho’s upcoming Snowpiercer don’t give me a tingly feeling. Somehow, I missed just how star-studded the cast is for the movie, and I’m hoping that the language barrier that has been facing so many Korean directors lately won’t cause problems here. Bong Joon-Ho’s 2006 film The Host had a decent amount of English dialogue and it worked well. Hopefully this film, which will be primarily (though not exclusively) in English, will continue that trend.

The nine character posters in the gallery are all pretty cool, and they show off a really old-looking Tilda Swinton, a difficult-to-distinguish Ed Harris, and generally beaten up everybody else. It all looks pretty good, and I’m excited to see some actual stuff from the film. This is definitely one to watch.
