Chris Rock's Saw and other Lionsgate releases the next victim of coronavirus delays

Evidently, COVID-19 does not want to play a game

In news that should come as a surprise to no one given the global pandemic and its impact on Hollywood trends, Lionsgate is the latest distributor to pull several of its major upcoming films.

Antebellum, the mysterious thriller film in which Janelle Monae stars as an author caught up in a mind-bending loop of Civil War-era horrors will no longer release on April 24th as planned.

The Misery-tinged thriller Run, starring Sarah Paulson, will miss its May 8th release as well.

And finally, Chris Rock and Samuel Jackson's spin-off of the Saw franchise Spiral: From the Book of Saw will miss its originally planned May 15th release.

Lionsgate has not set a new date for any of the films.
