Christopher Nolan is remastering his past films in 4K

4K people! 4K!

4K videos, televisions and games are all the rage nowadays, and for good reason. It's this decades improvement of SD to HD, and the jump in picture quality from HD to 4K is noticeable, giving pictures a realistic quality that is unbeatable.

The problem in recent years has been getting people to actually film things in 4K. The tech is still new, and getting it to become widely adopted will take time. However, there are at least a handful of great remastered movies coming into 4K, because Christopher Nolan is working on 4K remasters for several of his past films.

As reported by Badtaste.it, Nolan will remaster The Dark Knight trilogy of films for starters, with the possibility of more of his films following suit. In the interview, Nolan explains that the Imax Films are shot on upwards of 18k resolution, so getting his old films up to par with current standards seems like a no-brainer since they already have the ability.

Personally, I'd love The Prestige or Interstellar get the 4K treatment. What movie would you like to see get a 4K remaster? Let us know down in the comments.
