[For the month of July, we will be covering the New York Asian Film Festival and the (also New York-based) Japan Cuts Film Festival, which together form one of the largest showcases of Asian cinema in the world. For our NYAFF coverage, head over here. For Japan Cuts, here.]

We mentioned last night that Miami Connection will be playing at the New York Asian Film Festival on Saturday. Star/producer/co-director Grandmaster Y.K. Kim will do a motivational speech and taekwondo demonstration prior to the film. If you live in the NYC area, you have a chance to win tickets to Miami Connection tomorrow night!

That’s right: you will be able to experience the campy wonder of Miami Connection (aka the Citizen Kane of Florida-based martial arts movies about new wave bands and bikers) for free. To enter, all you have to do is comment about your favorite ninja or ninja movie or retweet the following:

A limited number of free tickets are available. Winners will be notified tomorrow morning. If you don’t win, fear not. Tickets for Miami Connection are still available. After the cut, a song from the film. Good luck to everyone, and happy taekwondo-ing! Hope to see you tomorrow night.

[Miami Connection will be screening at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater Saturday, July 7th at 11:15 PM]
