Director Seth Grahame-Smith runs from Flash movie over creative differences

A DC cinematic universe slow down?

Looks like the DC cinematic universe has run into a problem, and we don't mean the box office slowdown for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Director Seth Grahame-Smith has dashed from The Flash over creative differences, which leaves star Ezra Miller stranded at the starting line.

To jog your memory, Grahame-Smith wrote the screenplay for The Flash as well as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (from his partial-novel). The Flash would have been Grahame-Smith's directorial debut, and perhaps a major hurdle for a first-timer, but he's no longer involved with the Scarlet Speedster and can hoof it wherever he pleases. This may be best for DC as well since they initially handed the baton to someone who doesn't have the legs for the big race.

Thankfully The Flash wasn't sprinting to the big screen any time soon, meaning that DC can bounce back really quick. The film is still slated for a March 3, 2018 release, and DC isn't necessarily in a major rush to find a new director. Still, they should probably pick up the pace and hurry up since the time will fly by really fast.

Pun about this story in the comments, puny mortal.
