Do you make more of an effort to see original films?

We answer The (Movie) Question!

It's kind of a cliche to say that nothing original comes from Hollywood, but everything that comes out of Hollywood is cliche, so I don't feel all that bad about saying it. But that's partially our fault. Movies like Elysium and Pacific Rim don't perform at the domestic box office (although the latter has been doing quite well in China), so instead they just pump out adaptations and remakes and sequels.

But maybe it's not our fault. That depends on whether or not you make an effort to reward films solely because they're original, even if they're not necessarily great films. We've pled our cases, now you tell us yours in the comments below.

And as always, subscribe to our YouTube channel and get this video and all of our other ones entire hours before you'd get to see them on the front page. Also it'll make me happy. And you want to do that, right?
