Dredd gunfight reenacted with puppets

0

Dredd was awesome and I'll take this moment once again to publicly shame everyone who didn't go out and watch it in theaters. If you have seen it then you know it has some awesome gunfights. What you didn't know is that gunfights can be made better by turning them in puppet gunfights.

That's what the folks at Epix did in this episode of DIY Effects in which they redid one of the bloodiest scenese in the film with puppets. It's pretty damn amazing and surprisingly doesn't skimp on the blood and gore either. If you just want to skip to the hot puppet action you can jump to 2:02. The play through is followed by a side-by-side comparison that once again confirms that digital blood sucks, even when it's used wonderfully in super slow motion.
