Everything that happened at Disney's all encompassing D23 Expo

It only dawned on me after this weekend that Disney pretty much controls all of pop culture at the moment. They might not have a complete monopoly (yet) over the film industry, but you better believe that they hold on iron grip on the heart of pop culture. Between the MCU, Disney+, Star Wars, and their bevy on animated movies, most of which are being remade, Disney more or less controls what's popular and what people are watching. If that isn't absolutely terrifying to you, that a multi-million dollar company with a yearly gross larger than over a hundred developed nations can influence and shape billions of people's thoughts through media, then I don't know what is.

Still, when Disney does something, it's worth covering. Disney is the news and as much as I dislike how they're essentially a monopoly, news is news and a man's gotta make a living somehow. This past weekend was Disney's D23 Expo, where the company announces more or less everything they have in store for the calendar year and then some. Some projects are detailed, some are just revealed, but the glut on content was absolutely outrageous. We didn't even get a chance to cover that Disney is making High School Musical: The Musical: The Series for Disney+. And yes, that is a real title of a real show that is really releasing. And who said originality is dead?

Here is everything that happened at Disney's D23 Expo 2019.
