Explore the great outdoors with James Wan in The Troop

Everyone loves camping!

James Wan is just becoming more and more prolific in Hollywood, between his DC gigs and the Wan-verse, the Conjuring-led slate of horror films he's directed and produced; I'm coining the term now, feel free to use it. Carving a bloody name for himself, Wan looks to add upcoming horror film The Troop to his producing credits.

Based on a book by Nick Cutter, the film will chronicle a "group of teens on a remote camping trip who must fend for themselves when their adult chaperone falls prey to an aggressive otherworldly infection." Lovely! EL Katz (Small CrimesCheap Thrills) is set to direct a script by Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald.

With a new horror project, the inevitable Aquaman 2, and a Mortal Kombat film to keep tabs on, Wan's got a lot in the pipeline. Hopefully his presence is felt in his numerous producer-projects. It wasn't enough to save the show, but DC's Swamp Thing is certainly a testament to the quality Wan can bring to a project. Fingers crossed for The Troop.
