Cut to 2010. While there weren’t as many comedies that showed the absurdity of politics (we have the Daily Show for that), you can’t say there weren’t some great laughs. And so it has come to this: the best comedy of 2010. Will it be the dearly loved Scott Pilgrim? The highly underrated and under seen Mystery Team? Or the surprisingly decent Easy A? And the Flixie goes to… Scott Pilgrim! It was a close one, but the Canadian movie directed by a Brit with American actors beat the competition. With it’s unique visual style, fast paced dialogue, and Kieran Culkin, Scott Pilgrim delivered the laughs, the romance, the action, and brilliant music. But let’s not discount our other nominees! Mystery Team, a story of grown up child detectives solving a murder, is a favorite around Flixist, and very much worth seeing. Tied with Mystery Team came Easy A. What can I say? We’re all suckers for Emma Stone.
