Flixist opens its first international location in Japan

0

Newbridge, Tokyo is the place where our business venture goes global

Our first ever international store has just sprouted up in Japan! To be specific, the store is located in Newbridge, a comfy suburb in Northwest Tokyo. Just like the Newbridge, New Jersey store, this location is open 24 hours a day most days a week, and offers all of the mostly-safe products and foodstuffs we sell in the United States. You can feel the wheels of progress turning, can't you? That's global capitalism, baby, so you best buckle the hell up and grab that "oh s**t" bar above the window: Flixist is taking the world by storm!

The Newbridge, Tokyo store is located next to a movie theater (not unlike the Alamo Drafthouse) where the entire staff dresses up like erotic dinosaurs.

Oh, Japan.

I think that brontosaurus is giving me the eye, but I need to let it know that I've been seeing that triceratops from Jersey for a few hours and I think it's serious. She still won't take off the dinosaur head, though... and I think I kind of like it.

I need to hire some additional help with the Flixist employee handbook, which now needs to be translated and adapted to other cultures. For instance, I don't know how Japanese people feel about high-fiving every customer, calling everyone "Sugar," or dancing behind the counter when no one is in the store. (Our research back home has shown it's good for morale and the heart.) First things first, I need to figure out what language they speak in Japan.
