By Aside from having possibly the best title since Snakes on a Plane, Gunpowder Milkshake has flown somewhat under the radar. It has popped up on Karen Gillan and Lena Headey’s Instagrams regarding the training and shooting of the film, but now with the film securing a domestic distributor in STX, it is a little more in the spotlight.

STX has been known recently for films like The Gentlemen and Hustlers and they would like to extend that winning streak with this recent acquisition. Gunpowder Milkshake. is about an assassin duo of mother/daughter who teams up with other generations of female assassins to take down their former employers and stop the cycle of violence. That may sound a little vague but with the picture boasting a cast including Michelle Yeoh, Carla Gugino, Angela Bassett, and Paul Giamatti it seems destined to be a badass female-led action movie.
Gunpowder Milkshake is currently scheduled to be released sometime in 2020
