Hot new pics of Iron Man 3 armors

Since I'm still riding the wave that is the recently released Avengers Blu-ray, I think now is just as good a time as any to get the hype train rolling for Iron Man 3. While we've already had looks at both the Mark XLVII and the Iron Patriot armors, this is the first time we've glimpsed the real things side by side. These pics were taken covertly on set down in Florida where production is currently under way.

I'm really baffled with the color scheme they've chosen for the Mark XLVII armor. The gold/yellow on red of the former armors has become immediately recognizable as contemporary Iron Man, so to inverse that feels a little foreign. Well, variety is the spice of life, as I'm sure Tony Stark would say. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to finish watching The Avengers with Joss Whedon's sizzling commentary track.
