J.R.R. Tolkien film in the works

0

With basically anything that has the name J.R.R. Tolkien attached to it printing money and a pretty interesting life story it’s easy to see why a J.R.R. Tolkien biopic is in the works. The creator of Middle Earth will be joining his creations on the big screen, but not any time soon as the film is in very early stages. It’s title, Tolkien, is only a place holder at the moment. The film will purportedly focus on his early life and WWI, showing how it all influenced his authorial creations.

The good news is that David Gleeson, a man who has dedicated his life to knowing everything about Tolkien and his work is writing the screenplay. The bad news is that there have been Tolkien biopics floating around for years now and nothing has ever come of it. Any remember Mirkwood? Right, because it didn’t happen. Hopefully this one can pic up a production company and finally get his story out there.
