John Turturro joins the ranks of Matt Reeves' The Batman

At least he won't be getting peed on

Matt Reeves is doing everything in his power to create a compelling cast list for The Batman. As revealed by the director yesterday, actor John Turturro will be joining the project as crime boss Carmine Falcone. Falcone has appeared in other recent Batman projects, including Batman Begins (portrayed by Tom Wilkinson) and the Fox series Gotham (played by John Doman). What role he'll play in the story is currently unknown.

Turturro, on the other hand, is probably best known for getting peed on by Bumblebee in the first Transformers film. I'll give the man props for having a sense of humor, but that is probably the stupidest thing he's ever committed to film. Still, he's had a long and successful career in many good movies, including The Big Lebowski, O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Do The Right Thing. If getting peed on led to him being in a Batman film, it's not so bad.
