Jordan Peele's Nazi hunting show lands at Amazon

Clear eyes, full mags, can't lose

The Jordan Peele train keeps on rolling, this time over a bunch of Nazis. Produced by Peele's MonkeyPaw Productions alongside Sonar Entertainment, The Hunt follows a group of Nazi hunters in 1977 New York. The aptly named Hunters discover that hundreds of high-ranking Nazis live among them, and are striving to create the Fourth Reich. The quest to stop the uprising fascist regime is fraught with blood and death.

Creator David Weil will write and executive produce, and once he pitched the idea to Peele, it was a no-brainer:

“When David Weil first shared The Hunt with me, I immediately knew that we had to be involved. It’s cathartic. It’s noir. It’s frighteningly relevant. It’s exactly what I want to see on television. I am thrilled to be working with Amazon in bringing this incredible vision to the world.”

Amazon continues to draw creative minds while ramping up its original content, with this news coming on the heels of the billion dollar Lord of the Rings series set to begin with a season focused on a young Aragon. Wait, that can't be right. Are they really kicking things off with Aragon? Apparently so. Regardless, Peele's Q-rating is through the roof since Get Out and anything attached with his name is a good bet. TBS is renewing The Last O.G. (co-creator) for a second season, he's producing Lovecraft Country on HBO, and he's released a poster for his next film, Us, due out next year.
